FORBES has listed Indian Cricket team skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the
richest cricketer in the world for the year 2012. Dhoni stays at the 31st position on
the list of 100 athletes that was released on Monday, June 18th 2012.
The surprising fact about the list is Dhoni nearly double ahead in rank of his
fellow cricketer Sachin Tendulkar (who was previously richest) who grabbed the
position of 78.
The intersting part about the list is Dhoni is far ahead in the earning compared to Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, England's professional footballer Wayne Rooney, Olympian Record Holder and Gold Medalist Usain Bolt, tennis number one Novak Djokovic. And further Dhoni's earning from endorsements is 4 milllion greater than that of Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi who stands at number 11.
