Cricket is one of the most celebrated sporting event across the globe. Besides what counts mostly on cricket is scores. And it has always been considered as the game of batsmen though  bowlers and fielders also contribute a significant role in the game itself. Since cricket fans are crazy about their favorite batsmen, what always matters is the "all time favorites". Here I've tried to present the top ten great batsmen of all time in cricket. Though it has been a difficult task for me about whom to include and whom to exclude but taking the performance, playing atmosphere of the batsmen, their fame and other facts into consideration, here is the list of top ten great batsmen ever!!!

Top 10 great batsmen of all time in cricket

10.Wally Hammond (England)
Hammond was one of the greatest cricketer of England along with Jack Hobbs. He is the notable cricketer of his time. Beside being a great cricketer for England, he was a great footballer before he officially entered cricket. Hammond has played more first class cricket in his career in contrast to Tests. His impressive 336* in test cricket was a matter of great pide and enthusiasm in those days. He bags over 50000+ runs in first class cricket and has 167 first class centuries and 22 tests centuries. Hammond also captained for England as played for the Gloucestershire as proferrional first class cricketer.

9. Sunil Gavaskar (India)
This awesome cricketer from India holds the ninth position in my list of greatest batsman. He  is considered as the greatest opener in cricket. Because of his fast run snatching ability he is often referred as "Run Machine". He is the first cricketer to cross the landmark of 10,000 runs in test cricket. He secured the record for highest test centuries i.e. 34 for a long time which was eventually broke by Sachin Tendulkar in 2005. In the year 1980 he became WISDEN cricketer of the year.
